A Tolkien-Inspired Pregnancy Tracker, Week by Week

I’ve spent the majority of my pregnancy seeing my baby’s growth compared to fruits, toys, animals, household objects, etc. — most of which have extremely variable sizes or are altogether unhelpful — and it inspired me to put together a fun Tolkien-inspired version of my own.

Please note: Every pregnancy is different and babies grow at difference paces so fetal size is estimated; Tolkien also did not provide exact measurements for most objects in his Legendarium so these are also estimated. This guide is just for fun should in no way be taken as objective fact or medical advice of any sort. The longer I’ve spent working on this piece, the more I’m convinced that the “baby to fruit” comparisons are essentially meaningless so this is a fun alternative. My measurements are roughly based on estimated fetal length (not weight) by week.
